Internet Issue

Important Note:-  The below command and any testing should be run outside RDS.


There is a total of 3 Steps to check the Slowness between your Internet and RDS server.


  1. Speed test ( Run with VPN and without VPN)
  2. CMD command test ( Run with VPN and without VPN) 
  3. The Final is the Tracert test ( Run with VPN and without VPN ). If you have passed the above test then only you have tested this.
  4. If the above test is clear as per the result then only you have to raise a ticket to IT Team.



  1. Speed Test ( Run with VPN and without VPN) 

                         a. Open chrome browser and search for ookla speed test. ( i.e. https://www.speedtest.net/ )

 

   

   Below screen will appear.  

                                  

a. Click on the Change Server option.



Below screen will appear.


b. Search for LONDON and select London - Community Fibre Limited 

c. Click Go 

d. The speed test result should be more than the below image.



   

 2. CMD command test ( Run with VPN and without VPN) 



Press  Windows + r key.


 Below screen will appear




Type              ping google.com -t   ( ping space google.com space -t200) 


 



If Request timed out appears like below screen then there will be an internet issue and wait for the result it will take around 3-4 min.






 3. Tracert test ( Run with VPN and without VPN) 


     


Press  Windows + r key.


 Below screen will appear


 

Type   tracert space 54.37.5.161 and Enter ( You have to type your server IP over here.)

      



You can look on the above screen that there is so many Request timed out. If request time out will be there, then it's an internet drop and latency issue but one more thing this tracert command should end on 54.37.5.161 ( your server IP ) only.
